寶貝,我並沒有離去。只是暫時消失一會兒

149 natural stones made from ashes of analogue photographic prints and personal diary entries, a glass jar of ashes left from a hand-written letter, a poem typed on paper with a typewriter

This work is dedicated to Bea, my beloved friend who passed away last year in London. Everything happened without warning. The exact date she died was not known. I didn’t get to say goodbye to her. A month before my flight, we had a phone call. We promised to meet up on the day of my arrival and she would show me around the city. This never happened. I was all by myself. Carrying my analogue camera, I began taking photos from the day I arrived London in September 2022 until seven days before Bea’s Birthday in February. It was 149 days of her absence.

On the morning of her Birthday, I burnt all photographs, my diary entires with a written letter for her. Ashes were then collected and casted into 149 stones. The stones are accompanied by a jar of leftover ashes and a hand-typed poem on paper.
